Imbibing inspiration from the ancient Egyptian era, fashion designer Andrea Iyama creates a line of nubian resplendence from the brand’s first in-house made prints.
According to the Creative Director, Dumebi Iyamah, “There’s something mysterious and daring about the Egyptian culture that sparked my curiosity. Symbolism was important in telling the story behind our SS16 collection.”
Show casing the collection in all it’s hieroglyphic glory, renowned visual artist and photographer, William Ukoh of Willy Verse takes the models into a ‘desert’ for the campaign shots, where they strike poses even the Egyptian goddess-queens of old would have been envious of.
Aptly captured in a dreamy, haze of heated sensuality!
Ok Africanistas! Your thoughts…?
